Victoria Power Industry Locks
Working with the Victoria Electricity Supply Industry (VESI) group, ASSA ABLOY has developed a master key system using Lockwoods VPI MT5+ locking system.
The master key system allows homeowners to lock their power meter box whilst still allowing meter readers to gain access with a MT5+ key issued by a VESI group company.
The VESI group consists of Victoria’s five major electricity companies: Citipower, Powercor, SP AusNet, Jemena and United Energy. A property supplied with electricity via one of the said companies must follow the 2014 Service and Installation Ruling documented and available to view on the VESI website. The document has the MT5+ VPIL locks included on it.
To maintain a high level of key control the MT5+ master key is factory controlled only so this means all orders for Victorian Power Industry Locks need to be placed through ASSA ABLOY so as to receive a fully assembled master key product.

Power Industry Security Card

A security card authority system has been introduced to maintain the key control over power industry keys so there is no need for the old traditional signature registration system.
All power industry locks will come with a security card that has a unique 16 digit code, this code will be the authorization credentials for any additional MT5+ power industry keys on the same code along with with the 6 digit key number, which is stamped on the blade of the key so this means when ordering new MT5+ power industry keys you will need both being the security card with the unique 16 digit security card and the 6 digit key number on the blade of the key.

Australian oval cylinder with X Cam. This cylinder is used in Lockwood Mortice locks such as the 3570 Series, 3580 Series and 3540 Series.

201 Rim Lock cylinder. This cylinder is used as the external cylinder in a wide range of rim locks including Lockwood 001, 002, 303, 355, 201, 211 and 213.

693API2MT5+SC
693 Cupboard & draw lock. The cylinder can easily be positioned for either cupboard or draw installation and can be either latching or bolt function.

334BPI2/119MT5+
High Security 334 Series brass case padlock with 8.7mm boron steel rapid change shackle with double ball locking. Standard padlock is with self-latching shackle, can be interchanged to deadlocking function.

The highest level of protection is offered by this double sided unique key against illegal key duplication via the revolutionary alpha spring.

LIWPI2MT5+SC
The LIW cylinder is used in Lock-it-Well A and R Series switches. The cylinder is ready to be used in A Series switches. For R Series switches the drive plate will need to be changed.

EURPI2MT5+FDCP
Euro double cylinder – fixed cam. This cylinder is used in many Euro style Mortice locks including Lockwood Optimum and Defender.

Euro double cylinder – lazy cam. This cylinder is used in various security door locks including 8653, Whitco Tasman and Leichardt locksets.

Keyed alike power industry products in groups do not include MT5+ power industry keys.
